As a child, my imagination was my sanctuary–the place where everything made sense, a private world of colors, stories, and feelings that brought a smile and sense of peace to anyone I shared it with. But as the years passed, responsibility and the demands of a career in advertising began to slowly pull me away from that world.

Eventually, a small echo tried to reach me again through my daughter, Stas. She is an adult now, but when she was just two or maybe three years old, she once told me something I never forgot: “The only door to talk to the angels is our imagination. Grown-ups lose it, and that’s why they can’t talk to the angels anymore.” At the time I did not truly act on her words, but they stayed inside me and waited for the right moment to be heard. Many years later, while I was walking my dogs, a simple flower caught my eye. I paused to take a picture of it, and in that quiet moment her words came back to me. That is when I realized the door she had spoken about was opening again.

Now, through Mythos & Muse, I use my camera to listen to nature again: the curve of a petal, the weight of rain, the way light and shadow hold a mood. Using only natural light, I photograph these flowers and leaves, keeping their small imperfections and edges so they remain as honest as when I first saw them. Not props or models, but “living messengers” of what nature wants to share with us. Artwork that invites calm, inner listening, and honest self-reflection.
